Ms. Fonssagrives-Solow's Robot series began with her desire to recycle everything. Occasionally holed up in her studio in Connecticut, she has utilized items that she finds around her including bottles, eye droppers, boxes and cans and forms them into "alien" bodies that reference science fiction, comic-book characters, Transformers and Art Brut. They are then made into molds before becoming these cast aluminum pieces.
