A computer generating "drawing" of whatever is within range of the screen. It randomly places 'straw' lines based on the shape of the viewer which is constantly sampled and then changes the lines to 'improve' the accuracy of the image on the screen. But with each movement of the viewer, the image is forced to change and start over.
